Reader # 442 wrote: This was a very fun Make it Take it, and I hope there will be something like it again. There is only one thing I would change, and that would be having a mask to trace. Then again, without a way to trace a mask, it was completely original so...I guess we all learned a new talent - How to make masquerade masks from scratch! Yay!

Salt Water Day

Reader # 433 wrote: Salt Water Day earned a B. It was nice to have something different to do with my family but it was hot out. It would have been better if they put up tents for shade. There were games to play and a few rides and good food to eat. My brothers and I each won a hermit crab with the tank, food and everything it needed and we each won a goldfish. One councilman was giving away free toys like footballs, shovel and pail sets, and frisbees. There was a concert, too. The one I saw was aimed at kids. They were pretty good. They did a Hannah Montana tribute, but that was only so-so. I would recommend that you check it out next year. It's better than being stuck in the house.

Library Program - Murder Mystery Lock-in

Reader #537 wrote: This was one of the best Lock-ins in the history of Lock-ins (and I am old enough to have been to nearly every one of them =P). There wasn’t really a “Murder Mystery” per say, but we played this super-awesome-murder-mysteryish game called the Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow. People also read books, ate pizza, played Capture the Flag (Darren-style), and indulged in other regular Lock-in activities. Darren and Mary were, needless to say, awesome. If you weren’t there, you missed out! Grade: A+++

Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

The Secret Life of an American Teenager

Reader #422 wrote: The Secret Life of an American Teenager is one of the best shows I have watched this summer, and deserves the A I rated it. This show really shows you all the pitfalls of being pregnant as a teenager, and I don't think anyone would want to be a pregnant teenager after seeing what main character Amy Jurgens go through it. You can really learn a lot from this show. I recommend it to all teenagers out there. Tune in on Tuesdays at 8. Grade: A
