Oliver Moon: The Potion Commotion

Reader # 520 wrote: This audio book is funny. It was a cute kids' story and not very long. It is a good audio book to go on a road trip. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a short audio book. Grade: A

Dead Connection

Reader # 520 wrote: HORRIBLE! This audio book was not what I expected at all. There was foul language that was not expected or said in the description. I hated it and the ending was totally boring. I DON'T recommend it to anyone. Grade: F

Bad Spy's Guide

Reader # 520 wrote: Awesome. Very informational, suspenseful, and funny. It was what I expected and very entertaining. I recommend it to anyone who likes spies or detectives. Grade: A

Mad Money

Reader # 520 wrote: Mad Money was funny, a little more on the adult side and very much a comedy. This movie had the best story plot I have ever seen. I recommend it to any mother, daughter, father, or brother over 10. Grade: A

The Wizardology Handbook

Reader # 520 wrote: Magic, knowledge, and some activities you can do all wrapped up into one book. This book is one of the books in a series of books that are informational on fairies, dragons, Egyptians, and more. I recommend it to anyone who likes magic and activities wrapped in one book. Grade: A

Symbols

Reader # 520 wrote: This book was not very good. I expected it to be more informational and not so boring. It wasn't very custom to what I expected. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read a book about signs they will never see. Grade: C

Alice in Wonderland

Reader # 474 wrote: I like this movie because it has so many unusual adventures! I recommend this movie to anyone. Grade: B

Encyclopedia Borwn Gets His Man

Reader # 474 wrote: This book was soooooo cool. I loved trying to figure out the mystery by myself, and then looking in the back to see if I was right. And I loved that there were multiple mysteries in one book. I recommend this book to mystery lovers. Grade: B

Engraved in Stone

Reader # 474 wrote: This book is so adventurous and creative! I love it! I recommend this book to anyone who loves adventures. Grade: A

Dark Knight

Reader # 537 wrote: Everyone said this movie was incredible. I thought it was pretty good but not totally amazing. Heath Ledger was awesome as the Joker. It had a lot of great action and a sad ending. Grade: B

Hancock

Reader # 537 wrote: This movie is the story of Hancock, the well-intentioned modern day superhero who is perpetually screwing up. It started out okay. It was kind of touching to see how misunderstood the guy was. Will Smith acted well, but after a while, the movie just got really confusing. I didn’t even really understand the ending. DO NOT TAKE YOUNG CHILDREN TO SEE THIS MOVIE—there is a ridiculous amount of obscene language. Grade: B

Rocket Boys

Reader # 537 wrote: This was a very inspiring story that showed that dreams, no matter how far-fetched they seem, are always within reach. You found yourself rooting for Homer until the end. I liked this book even more than the movie it inspired, October Sky. Grade: A

The Sun Also Rises

Reader # 537 wrote: I am not a big fan of Hemingway’s style, but this was a very complex book with a great message. You had to figure out a lot for yourself (in true Hemingway), but the story was touching. I did not like the abrupt ending. Grade: B

Tender is the Night

Reader # 537 wrote: This was one of those classic and critically acclaimed books that just ended up going slightly over my head. The characters were quirky and endearing, the plot moved nicely, and the ending seemed to be poetically just. However, the whole book left me with the impression that I had missed some deep psychological message. Grade: B

M is for Malice

Reader # 537 wrote: This mystery novel started out slow but rewarded you for sticking with it. Once you got through the first few dull chapters, you began to get attached to some of the characters, and once my favorite character died, there was no putting it down. After that, the action built quickly and satisfyingly to a totally unexpected ending. Grade: B

Killer Angels

Reader # 537 wrote: This was a great book. I didn’t expect to like the Civil War novel when I started reading it, but it surprised me. It was really well written. The author really brought the characters to life. I appreciated the unbiased way in which he portrayed both sides—a task rarely accomplished by history books. Grade: A
